Program Overview

For many patients, dentinal hypersensitivity is more than just a momentary nuisance—it's a persistent condition that affects daily routines, food choices, and overall quality of life. As dental clinicians, we often encounter this sensitivity chairside, yet its impact may go unrecognized or under-treated.

This course reframes hypersensitivity as a meaningful component of oral health care, emphasizing our role in acknowledging its effects and offering relief. Participants will explore the underlying causes and contributing factors of dentinal hypersensitivity, review current management strategies, and be introduced to a new product option designed to support patient comfort through minimally invasive care.

Brittany Risbara, RDH

About Your Presenter

Brittany is a registered dental hygienist with over 12 years of clinical and educating experience. She also holds her Independent Practice license in Maine, one of only two states in the country that offers this great opportunity.

Brittany has been with Young Innovations for over 2 years, more recently becoming a Clinical Educator. She is passionate about instrumentation, dental equipment and helping other hygienists develop (or regain!) clinical confidence to achieve career longevity. Learning should be fun, too!
