Two Perspectives, One Patient: A Unified Model for Periodontal Patient Co-Management

Program Overview

Modern preventive periodontal care demands more than clinical expertise; it requires seamless workflows, interdisciplinary alignment, and a deeply patient centered approach. This 60-minute continuing education course brings together the complementary perspectives of a Dental Hygienist and a Periodontist to explore how practices can elevate both efficiency and patient experience. Participants will learn how to integrate standardized periodontal workflows with communication strategies that honor patient preferences, reduce anxiety, and support shared decision making.

Through case-based learning, practical tools, and real-world examples, this course equips dental teams to deliver coordinated, compassionate, and predictable periodontal care that improves outcomes for patients and enhances collaboration across the practice.
